چکیده
Reprocessed, regional, 2D seismic reflection profiles, 3D volumes and well data (exploration shallow boreholes), combined with structural restorations 1D backstripping were used to study the post-salt evolution of Nordkapp Basin in Barents Sea. The took place above a pre-salt basement basin configuration affected by multiple rift events that influenced depositional facies thickness Pennsylvanian-lower Permian-layered evaporite sequence. Initially, regional mid-late Permian extension reactivated Carboniferous faults, caused minor normal faulting strata triggered slight salt mobilization towards highs. main phase occurred during earliest Triassic when thick rapidly prograding sediments entered from east into Basin. In early-mid-Triassic, change direction progradation sediment entry-points shifted NW led rotation earlier-formed mini-basins shift dominant evacuation south. influx direction, transport velocity dynamics early late passive diapirism, expulsion depletion along strike basin. topography resulting highs mini-basin lows strongly progradational fairways determined distinct routing patterns. Minor rejuvenation structures at Triassic–Jurassic transition, due far-field stresses evolving Novaya Zemlya fold-and-thrust belt east. This dispersal routings formation dwarf secondary mini-basins. second likely early-mid-Eocene propagated transpressional Eurekan/Spitsbergen orogeny inverted rejuvenated structures. studied processes outcomes can be applicable other evaporite-dominated basins worldwide.

The Barents Sea
Fisheries in the North Atlantic, southeast Atlantic, and eastern central Atlantic reached their maximum production levels one or two decades ago and are now showing a declining trend in total catches (1). The declining catches are consistent with observations that these areas have the highest incidence of overexploited stocks, depleted stocks or slowly recovering stocks that have been depleted ...
متن کاملthe relationship between learners critical thinking ability and their performance in the reading sections of the tofel and ielts test
the study reflected in this thesis aims at finding out relationships between critical thinking (ct), and the reading sections of tofel and ielts tests. the study tries to find any relationships between the ct ability of students and their performance on reading tests of tofel and academic ielts. however, no research has ever been conducted to investigate the relationship between ct and the read...

[1] We present area-averaged time series of temperature for the 100–150 m depth layer of the Barents Sea from 1900 through 2006. This record is dominated by multidecadal variability on the order of 4 C which is correlated with the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation Index. Citation: Levitus, S., G. Matishov, D. Seidov, and I. متن کاملSediment Bacterial Communities Reflect the History of a Sea Basin
How entire microbial communities are structured across stratified sediments from the historical standpoint is unknown. The Baltic Sea is an ideal research object for historical reconstruction, since it has experienced many fresh- and brackish water periods and is depleted of dissolved oxygen, which increases the sediment's preservation potential. We investigated the bacterial communities, chemi...
متن کاملInvestigation of the Relationship between Geomorphic Characteristics and Sediment Production in Nirchai Basin
Aims & Backgrounds: Today, soil erosion and sediment production are considered a danger to humans and their lives, so in areas where soil erosion is not controlled, soils gradually erode and lose their fertility. The aim of this study is to model the relationship between the amount of suspended sediment load and the geomorphic features of the Nirchai River Basin. Methodology: In this study, GIS...
